The comedy king returns with his hotly anticipated new hour technology, hitting theatres across the country this spring.

Award-winning comedian Aaron Chen has officially unveiled his biggest tour yet. The acclaimed stand-up star will bring his brand-new show Technology to stages across Australia and New Zealand starting in September 2026.

Known for his surreal observational humour, quietly escalating absurdity and signature deadpan delivery, Chen continues to cement his place as one of Australia’s most distinctive and in-demand comedy voices.

Fresh off the back of his successful Netflix special Funny Garden, Chen’s latest hour dives headfirst into the chaos of modern technology. The tour marks a significant moment for the comedian, who has rapidly risen through sold-out festival runs and major television credits including Fisk and Guy Montgomery’s Spelling Bee.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, Chen has collected an impressive list of accolades including Melbourne International Comedy Festival Best Newcomer, Director’s Choice, and the 2024 People’s Choice Award for highest ticket sales. His previous specials have racked up millions of views online and earned him international attention, including an AACTA nomination.

With Technology, audiences can expect Chen at the very top of his game — blending sharp wit, awkward charm and brilliantly weird insights into our digital lives. The tour hits some of the country’s most iconic theatres, giving fans the chance to experience his unique style in a proper seated environment.

Tickets go on sale Friday 12 June at 12pm, with presales running earlier in the week for Mastercard holders and Live Nation members. Get them here.
