The Filth Comes To Melbourne

Sydney’s successful music night for upcoming bands comes to Melbourne.

Five years ago rock music fans in Sydney found a home away from home. A weekly calling to a rock show at The Beachroad Hotel known simply as The Filth. Once a week, over a thousand music fans would descend upon the venue to watch tomorrow’s superstars. Now, finally, The Filth is set to hit Melbourne harder than it did your uni dorm room.

Starting this Wednesday night, punters can head on down to The Revolver Upstairs in Prahan to check out some of Melbourne’s best new acts. Soon enough, The Filth will be the destination night at which bands visiting Melbourne will want to perform. Artists such as Tame Impala, Temper Trap, Cloud Control, Philadelphia Grand Jury and Children Collide have all at some stage graced the stage of the Sydney edition of The Filth.

Here’s the lineup for the next few weeks. Soon enough heading to The Revolver Upstairs on a Wednesday night for The Filth will become second nature. You’ve got no excuse not to because it’s absolutely free.
