Way ahead of the release of their debut album (Batmania, due out in October), The Fearless Vampire Killers give us this Kinks-inspired garage pop single. Sharp guitar riffs in the verse lead to a noisy chorus, driven by a simple, hollered vocal hook. All strictly by-the-book, but pretty effective. Should keep what their press release refers to as a “solid hipster following” very happy. (You know they don’t like to be called that, right? It’s ‘They Who Must Not Be Named’ or ‘You-Know-Whos’. Or ‘Dicks’, but they don’t like that either.)
