On the back of last month’s announcement that they’d be dropping one single every month in the lead up to their forthcoming album release, The Cat Empire have stayed true to their word and revealed their second single in as many months, ‘Stolen Diamonds’.
‘Stolen Diamonds’ is driven by an explosive brass rhythm, delivering infectious groove with a massive full-band sound. Details of the band’s forthcoming record are yet to be revealed, though the drip-feeding process of unveiling a track each month is enough to keep anyone on their toes.
“’Stolen Diamonds’ is one of those songs where you can’t tell where things are happening, but it’s got this really infectious rhythm to it,” says frontman Felix Reibl of the track. “The horn line is amazing and the rhythm section is playing just about as heavy as it can play.”
