Start getting your hopes up because beat wizards The Avalanches have let slip plans to release a new album. The outfit hit the ground running with their hugely successful debut album, Since I Left You, in 2000 before keeping us hanging over a decade and a half for its follow up Wildflower.
Since gracing us with Wildflower and instant classics like ‘Frankie Sinatra’ and ‘Because I’m Me’ in 2016, The Avalanches have been busy hitting festivals such as VIVID Live, Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival, but not too busy to work on new tunes it seems.
Details are slim at the moment, though the ensemble feel confident enough to tell the world about it, so let’s keep our fingers crossed they don’t keep us waiting too long this time around.
