Inspired by Hanson’s favourite Chinese proverb, A bird does not sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song is a one woman show that explores the heartaches of being a young adult through the provocation of cabaret, mime, singing and a small amount of dance. The show is intended to encourage people to become more acute to their desires, inner restlessness and needs while encouraging introspection.
