Who are we chatting to and what do you do in the band? Taylar Paige. Singer/songwriter/guitarist/bassist from Melbourne.

What do you reckon people will say you sound like? It’s always quite hard to categorize yourself, but if I had to choose I’d probably be a weird mix of The Japanese House, City & Colour, and Amy Winehouse with obvious influences from Puscifer and Tool. All ridiculously diverse artists.

What do you love about making music? The process of making music is both an escape and a home; where the mind falls apart only to mend. To say I love this process would be an understatement. I am eternally grateful to have the ability to morph any negative energies that enter my life into art. Harnessing negative energies in the forms of fear, despair and misery and morphing them into pieces of music is simply what gives my life purpose. We’re all just artists trying to paint our own realties, each with our own tools and too, our own vices.

What’ve you got to sell CD-wise? My new single Murder is out now.
