Ten piece band and sell out success Sphongle will be performing at 2011 Rainbow Serpent Festival.
Director of Rainbow Serpent, Tim Harvey, was pleased to announce they had managed to persuade the group to stay for the show, after Sphongle’s Melbourne concerts sold out in a mere two weeks.
After forming the group in 1996, Simon Posford and Raja Ram began to produce one of the most unique sounds in music today that roughly falls into the bracket of psychedelic world trance. Creating a ten piece band that consists of cello, keyboards, drums and whole mass of Eastern and ethnic instruments is no easy feat, but Sphongle have done it with gusto and style.
