If it’s something the Bergy, KISS FM and Beat Repeat do well, its throw a party. After the success off last year’s last ditch effort to get open, the Bergy is ready to be properly broken into by the Street Party with live performances over 3 stages and party vibes through the venue!
In the Bergy Bandrooom, 9 bands scheduled to keep the tunes pumping all day long! With help from friends at Poison City Records who have helped us collaborate a line-up showcasing some of the best local acts who have graced our stage in the new year and some of the best local acts getting around!
In the front bar in the Bergy Seltzer Band Box, it’s a double serving of some of the best two piece acts getting around. With heavy hitting drums and sludgy guitars, the front bar will be pumping! Ending with Kai Cult bringing their electric energy hyper punk party to round out the night and keep you jumping!
Lane Rave is Back again! A sneaky lane rave situated in McDougal St right behind The Bergy. Wonder off the beaten track and you may find yourself in front of some serious house music early while those that stand the test of time will get to immerse themselves in the genres of Techno, so close you can almost touch it, and touch it, you may?
The day kicks off at 12pm with a radio show talking all things electronic music and slowly transforms into a stage filled with disco balls for Berlin’s original disco bitch THE SORRY ENTERTAINER, don’t think it stops there with live performances, DJ sets and one hell of a techno slot that will be played by the one and only Melbourne Music Royalty HONEYSMACK, along side him a man that needs no introduction T-Rek a force that has been cultivating cumulation and shaping music in Melbourne for a ridiculous amount of time.
There will also be DJs in the beer garden going into the wee hours of the night, as the Bergy Bandroom boasts a 3am license, perfect for everyone wanting to kick on from the biggest day in Brunswick! Entry is free.
