Can’t hold it against Shlohmo that pretty much every Melbourne singer-producer from 2012-2014 (optimistically crossing my fingers it ain’t happening in 2015) wanted to be Shlohmo. Regardless, Buried is a world away from his Jeremih-fronted sensual slow jams, coming across like a fucked up ‘80s soundtrack, sprawling and daring in its resolve.
