Hard techno and high-energy electronic culture go national as the fast-rising brand brings its immersive warehouse energy to four major cities this September.

Sandbox is officially stepping up with its first-ever national festival series, expanding from sold-out Sydney warehouse parties into a full-scale hard dance movement across Australia.

What started as an underground Sydney initiative has quickly become one of the country’s most exciting electronic brands, known for raw intensity, premium production and a genuine community focus. Now in its biggest move yet, Sandbox Festival lands in September with a powerful blend of hard bounce, hard dance, hard techno and schranz.

The debut edition features a strong first lineup including Jovvyn, Zapravka and Beauz, with more international names and Australian debuts still to be announced.

True to the brand’s roots, each event promises a fully immersive experience with world-class sound systems, cutting-edge lighting and carefully designed stages that put connection and atmosphere front and centre.

Sandbox has built a serious reputation over four years by hosting global heavyweights like Deborah De Luca, Eli Brown, Lilly Palmer, Shlømo, Trym and Chris Liebing.

The new festival format takes their signature boiler-room style and scales it up while keeping the underground spirit intact. Each city will deliver high-impact production, with Sydney expanding across three stages including dedicated spaces for emerging local talent.

This launch reflects a clear shift in Australian electronic music, as more ravers seek harder, faster and more emotionally charged experiences. With top-tier sound from L-Acoustics or d&b Audio Technik and a strong emphasis on crowd energy, Sandbox Festival is positioned to become a new benchmark for the scene.
