Q & A With The Hunting CLub

Define your genre in five words or less:

Chaotic-Experimental-Thrash-Rock

Someone walks past as you’re playing, they get a beer and tell their friend about you… what do they say?

Aww shit mate. You better come in and check out this band real quick.. The drummer is standing on the kit with her top off.

How long have you been gigging and writing?

We’re fresh meat on the live scene as we’ve only been together for 5 months. This will be our seventh gig on Saturday.

What’s been your favourite gig you’ve played to date?

The Townie in North Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. It was like playing a house party in a pub. It was crazy packed, we were drunk, played loud and performed a stripshow.

Any achievements to date that we should know about?

Bridget scored #35 in ‘Lady Drummers Rock’ category beating Meg White in ‘J-Mag’s Sexiest Moments in Music Issue’ last month.

Do you have any record releases to date? What? Where can I get it?

Live recording available for free download next month.

What’s one thing crazy you would like to do as a band this year?

We would like to dress up in old English hunting outfits, ride broom horses with a pack of corgi’s in the streets of Melbourne as a publicity stunt for an upcoming show/video clip/photo session.

Why should I come see your band?

As chaotic as we are on stage, we want to bring good ol’ aussie pub rock back (think GOD, Warped, Mustang). Our live shows are never the same and our performances are quite crazy. Expect either (or all) beer spitting, stripping, stand up drumming, guitar solos and drunken break-dancing.

Where can we check out some more of your stuff?

Hit us up with a ‘like’ on Facebook.

When are you playing live/releasing your album/EP/single/etc?

Saturday August 20 at the John Curtin Hotel with Midnight Woolf, Death Rattles and DJ Old Hands.
