Soulful blues songwriter Timothy Wolf has released the single 'Life Is, Better' off his upcoming self-titled debut album.
Wolf’s debut single ‘In Your Arms Again’, released in March 2021, saw a strong kickoff to his solo project (Wolf is formerly of Wolf and Willow) garnering over 50,000 streams online and national radio play in just months. You can read our feature interview with Wolf here.
A follow up of three more singles; ‘Boogie’, ‘Down’ and ‘Our tomorrow’ comes in the wake of a cancelled national tour due to the Covid 19 pandemic including a string of festivals, headline shows and support slots for the Pierce Brothers.
Now, with the album that Wolf and his collaborators made in Byron Bay imminent, Wolf has premiered his latest single ‘Life Is, Better’, and says it’s a sweet nostalgic nod to his prior work among an otherwise refreshingly original album.

‘Life is, better’ follows two storylines; the journey of the release of this album and the paying homage to Wolf’s roots as it traces back to the beginning of his career in music.
“We’ve had four production timelines postponed due to lockdowns so it’s only appropriate that a DIY film clip is part of this experience,” Wolf says.
“It’s been energising perusing footage, taking joy from these memories as cherishing these moments and relationships is so integral to the record’s identity.
“A nostalgia filled revisiting of the old Wolf and Willow footage made for a great time of reflection. I’m very proud of the journey this music has come from and the Timothy Wolf album seems like a very natural next step. It is different to Wolf and Willow and it will be experienced in a different way and I’m at peace with that.
“Of the new music, ‘Life is, better’ is probably the closest kin to a song Wolf and Willow would make so it’s a nice moment that a film clip pays such vivid homage to it.”
