SummerSalt's day festival series have announced the lineups and dates for their Melbourne and Ballarat concerts in 2022.

For Melbourne music fans, the SummerSalt line-up will feature Missy Higgins, John Butler, Xavier Rudd, Birds of Tokyo, The Waifs and Tulliah at the beach side location of M.O. Moran Reserve, St. Kilda.

For Ballarat, music lovers are set for a stellar line-up of artists, featuring Missy Higgins, Xavier Rudd, Birds of Tokyo,  Tulliah, Pete Murray, The Waifs and The Dreggs at the North Gardens, Ballarat.

Since its inception, SummerSalt has continued to deliver the finest Australian artists in some of the most scenic locations around the country.

The concert series features homegrown Australian talent performing live music in family friendly environments, with local market stalls and food trucks.

“After powering through a tumultuous time for live concerts, we are so excited to return to Victoria with another two great outdoor festival events,” Promoter, John Zaccaria said.

“We’re all keen to get back to enjoying fun days out with friends and some of Australia’s best live music.  We have another top line-up of homegrown Aussie talent to bring to Ballarat & Melbourne and can’t wait to see music fans out again making sensational summer memories with their mates.”

Missy Higgins  has won nine ARIA awards and multiple APRA Awards. John Butler has an impressive one million album sales to his name, and remains one of the most successful independent artists in Australia’s history.

Xavier Rudd’s over 20 years of touring has seen his global fan base swell to perform sell-out concerts in Japan, throughout Europe, Canada, the USA, including his infamous sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2018.

Birds of Tokyo formed in Perth in 2004 and have grown from independent roots to become one of Australia’s more popular contemporary rock bands, while Pete Murray has also notched over 1 million album sales under his belt.

The Waifs have also won multiple ARIA Awards, sold platinum albums and successful tours across the world, with a career spanning more than 25 years.

Australian indie-folk duo, The Dreggs, were formed in 2017, and are made up of Paddy Macrae and Zane Harris, while at 19 years old, Tulliah, from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, simply writes from a place of heartfelt experiences.
