Singing breezily high and close to the microphone, while strings pluck and a choir hums alongside him, Canadian Patrick White evokes Sufjan Stevens and the Polyphonic Spree. As it builds to a peak, the woodsy sway of Into Giants takes on hysterically joyous strains, framed by the sonorous and triumphant notes of a lone trumpet player. It’s pretty sweet.
