Got The Ziety (Radio Edit) by Other Places
The debut single from drummer/producer Mathew Watson (Mountains in the Sky) is a lush but dated bit of arcade electro, an instrumental track that rushes feverishly through its own overloaded landscape. Sample after layered sample struggles for attention, with a half dozen melodic ideas dying on the vine and a sharp, dogmatic beat dominating the mix. Not terrible, but no hook in sight.
