Mr Jimmy’s debut album Songs About Other People will be launched with support from Sarah Carroll at The Empress this Friday December 10.
In Mr Jimmy’s voice one hears the sincerity of a country-kid longing for a New York City high-rise; the earnestness of a writer on her first assignment; the daring of a man who shot a gun yesterday; the authenticity of Bob Dylan as a child; the sensitivity of lovers left behind; and the political straight-speaking of the son of an upper-middle class home.
I guess that makes them the exact diametric opposite to Gossip Girl. Which is fine by us, as that show sucks arse. Mr Jimmy’s debut album Songs About Other People will be launched with support from Sarah Carroll at The Empress this Friday December 10.
