Whoa, hold up! I think MOS have actually done a decent job here – well, on one half of the album at least. On disk one, Israeli nastyman Borgore delivers an excellently programmed, aggressive dubstep mix with bass so wide it could span a nation and drops that’ll sock you in the jaw before you even know a punch has been thrown. Borgore cluster bombs his way through gargantuan tunes, while never afraid to pop tongue into cheek. A couple of the tracks are hilariously obscene; Borgore’s own Nympho is nastier than a $5 hooker on a Sunday morning. The second disk, from Aussie lad Will Styles, unfortunately reverts back to typical Ministry of Bastardisation fare. Too many obvious crowd pleasers and lack lustre mixing let this end of the album down, but it still contains some great tunes with cerebellum slicing top ends. Overall, if you want an entry into dubstep, this MOS effort is a decent example of the diversity the genre has now found.
