Gamelan DanAnda X Firetail: ANGLAYANG
Perhaps the most ambitious of the four events, this fusion performance brings together Balinese gamelan orchestra Gamelan DanAnda and electro-jazz-fusion band Firetail for their album launch.
The night also features Ready New Gang, playing traditional Gamelan Music of Balinese Wayang Kulit shadow puppetry, expanded with The Living End’s Scott Owen on double-bass and Augie March’s David Williams on drums. Special guests include Balinese master musician and composer Yande King and dancer Putu Ayu Lestari.

Tangled Mates: 12 Hour Marathon
Tangle Agency and Crates Mates are joining forces to deliver an epic 12-hour party featuring nine acts across the electronic music spectrum. The marathon session includes live performances from Birdsnake, described as “Naarm-based groove merchants” delivering funk, dub, house and acid jazz, alongside Ex Ponto, Hybrid Man, and Kalopsia.
International flavour comes courtesy of Nice Girl (NZ) and Montreal-based composer RAMZi, while local selectors Bayu, Pjenné, and San of the Rambutan round out the bill. The tiered ticketing system starts at $20 for early birds and caps at $50 on the door.
Ai Yamamoto + Dan West: Microdoses
Naarm-based musicians Ai Yamamoto and Dan West return to Brunswick Music Festival with their debut vinyl LP Microdoses. The pair promise an immersive audiovisual performance featuring ambient soundscapes, glitchy microbeats, and abstracted breaks, complemented by Yamamoto’s video projections.
Support comes from Solar Cells & the New Vision System, with tickets set at $25.
About Quad Club
A revolutionary new live music venue has opened in Melbourne
The Quadraphonic Club draws its name and inspiration from the quadraphonic audio format, a groundbreaking innovation from the 1960s. Known for its multidimensional soundscapes, this format revolutionised the way people listened to music. While quadraphonic systems faded with the rise of digital audio in the 1980s, the Quadraphonic Club brings this immersive experience into the modern era. Equipped with state-of-the-art quadraphonic speaker systems, the venue offers a rich, four-dimensional sound experience unmatched in Melbourne’s live music scene.
The front bar sets the tone with a vintage yet modern aesthetic. A cozy whiskey den and DJ booth greet patrons as they step inside, creating an intimate atmosphere that flows into the venue’s standout feature: a sprawling, 1950s-style dancehall. This main room is designed for live performances that take full advantage of the quadraphonic sound system, immersing audiences in music from every angle.
