The two-part day of music will feature performances from the UK’s Richard Hill and Melbourne’s Tony Fenelon, with all profits going to support the Royal Children’s Hospital. The two organs date back to 1929 and between them have accompanied hundreds of films, welcomed royalty and even featured in the world premiere musical King Kong.

Act 1 will commence at the Melbourne Town Hall and feature a selection of composers such as Bach and Holst, and feature guest artists Jacqueline Porter and the Melbourne Opera Choir.

Act 2 will take place at the Regent Theatre, featuring contemporary pieces, including a medley from the musical theatre canon. The performance will also feature a short silent film from 1921 which shows the Wurlitzer organ being contructed and shipped across the USA to its original home in San Francisco.
