Massive Sign World Deal With Earache Records

The deal was brokered by Rick Butterworth, who signed the band to his Third Verse Management. Butterworth toldBeat that Earache’s top executives fell in love with Massive’s debut album Full Throttle from last year. “It fitted right in with their sound,” Butterworth said, pointing out that Earache is home to Rival Suns and British buzz band The Temperance Movement.

The album will be released internationally on Saturday May 31, with plans for touring Europe and the US extensively right after. Things have moved quickly for Massive since they formed 12 months ago. They toured nationally, opened for Glenn Hughes and Lita Ford, showcased in the US and made Full Throttle with Melbourne producer Ricki Rae.

Earache US label boss Al Dawson said, “I am super excited to be working with one of the hottest bands to be coming out of the Aussie rock scene in 2013 – Massive. These guys carry the torch for hard hitting, high energy rock n roll that Australia has such a great tradition of. I can’t wait to unleash these guys on to the unsuspecting American music scene.”
