March is sorted with The Toff supplying all the goods, no matter what tickles your free-time fancy.

From DJ house nights to start off the weekends right, to literary events showcasing emerging Blak artists, and, of course, some comedy to keep you laughing all through the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Toff is your one-stop shop this March for all things fun times, parties, and community artist events.

Read on for the full rundown of what events are on offer at one of Naarm’s favourite venues this March.

March 1 – Hyper Toff

Start off the month of March right with a Friday night full of nothing but 90s hits and house party tunes.

March 2 – Ozone in the City

To unveil their latest single, ‘This is the City’, Ozone are hitting up The Toff with friends Big Moist and the Smoking Durries and Dear Matilda.

March 2 – Afrocan

A couple of years in between appearances, Afrocan is back this March for all your afro-influenced house cravings. Featuring DJs Chris NG, Flex, Datboy and Yenzi.

March 6 – IZZY ‘The Fresh Face of Pop-Soul Sensation’ Single Launch

Combining soul and pop in what has been described as a symphony of unmatched brilliance, the unforgettable IZZY will be gracing The Toff stage with nothing but power this March.

March 8 – Terra Rouge ‘So Fucking Over It’ Tour

On tour with her debut album So Fucking Over It, Terra Rouge is bringing a female-led line-up to a show that is sure to be a cathartic experience.

March 9 – Buteco, André Lima Band

The Toff is bringing Brazil to Naarm with André Lima and an array of Brazilian family and friends on the line-up for this event of cultural celebration.

March 15 – Ana ‘The Art of Letting Go’ EP Launch

Dubbed an epic musical odyssey, Ana is bringing their EP The Art of Letting Go into the world, starting with the Toff, alongside a spectacular line-up of guests.

March 16 – Rainbow Words

Blak & Bright Literary Festival returns to Melbourne, celebrating First Nations stories

First Nations Literary Festival Blak & Bright will be presenting Rainbow Words to the Toff stage with a program of LGBTIQ+ writers to share their words and stories.

March 16 – Love Letters to the Future Generation

Also as part of Blak & Bright, this free event will showcase a range of poets that will share through art their hopes, loves and learnings to future generations.

March 16 – Darcy Baylis ‘More Again Forever’ Release

With his first release of music in over three years, Darcy Baylis is stepping away from his renowned club sound to share with audiences this new release of music that connects to the musician’s emo roots.

March 17 – The Bogong

A night of spoken word performances as part of the Blak & Bright Literary Festival, storytellers will grace the stage with pieces in conversation with the theme ‘Blak Futures Now’.

March 20 – Riyan ‘No Place Like Home’

Rising hip-hop star Riyan takes The Toff on by storm with this first headline show of 2024, presenting No Place Like Home at this all ages event.

March 23 – Queen of Soul, Celebrating Aretha Franklin

There’s no other way to celebrate the Queen of Soul’s birthday like this exciting tribute show to the music of Aretha Franklin with singer Michaela Jayde.

March 28 – Best of the Festival: Comedy Superstars

With the Melbourne International Comedy Festival kicking off this March, hit up The Toff’s Comedy Superstars for all the biggest international and Aussie stars in one easy place.

March 28 – Simon Taylor: Big Time

No small name in the comedy scene, catch Simon Taylor for his stand-up show Big Time on The Toff’s stage for a night chock-full of laughs.

March 28 – Mel & Sam: The Platonic Human Centipede

The award-winning queer comedy duo Mel & Sam will be presenting a show for sure not to be missed, filled with synth-soaring songs, hilarious sketches and unsung duos of the modern world.

March 30 – Comedy & Cocktails

There’s no better pairing than laughs and liquor, and so with a selection of three of each at this Comedy & Cocktails event, it’d be hard to think of a better way to spend a Saturday arvo this March.
