The Melbourne surf punk trio bring their latest limited-press 7" single Struiekla to Railway Hotel.
Melbourne’s garage-dwelling surf punk trio Máquina Peligrosa are launching their new 7″ vinyl single at Railway Hotel.
The band’s latest release Struiekla lands as a limited run of just 100 copies, pressed through Melbourne’s Zenth Records with sleeve art by My Beautiful Monsters. The flip side features Death Tube, which first surfaced as a standalone single in September 2025 and now gets the physical treatment. Punters who grab a combo presale ticket can lock in a copy of the vinyl and a sticker for $25 (plus booking fee), which is a fair sight cheaper than hunting one down after they sell out.
Máquina Peligrosa are a three-piece instrumental outfit made up of Logan Jeffs on bass, Felix Potier on guitar and Jose Tortabu on drums. Their name translates to Dangerous Machine in Spanish, which tracks. The band originally formed across the ditch in Wellington, New Zealand under the name The Crypt Kicker 3, playing iconic Kiwi venues before eventually relocating to Melbourne. They’ve since built a reputation for chaotic, high-energy live shows across the city’s pub circuit, with sold-out vinyl launches and regular community radio play throughout 2025.

Support comes from Big Moist and the Smoking Durries, who open proceedings from 9pm. The Struiekla 7″ will also be available to purchase on the night alongside new merch, and anyone who buys a presale ticket goes in the draw to win a merch pack at the door.
Máquina Peligrosa’s back catalogue includes 2025’s Chased By Goons / Everybody Up! 7″, a live recording from The Gem and a surf-punk cover of Metallica’s Battery, all of which sit on their Bandcamp page. This latest pressing marks their third vinyl release and continues a run of output that’s kept the three-piece consistently visible across Melbourne’s live music landscape.
