The first single from Liam’s new album (FOMO, out June 17) is an impossibly likeable tune with a slapping chorus and a radiant finale, complete with a brass section and fuzzy electro bursts. Burke Reid (ex-Gerling) has done an amazing job of bringing the song to life, but Finn’s songwriting is a triumph of genetic genius. If Split Enz were still writing, and flush with youthful enthusiasm, this is probably how they’d sound. Gorgeous.
