Let Me Down Jungleman

“People say we sound like bands we’ve never really heard which is cool, but I’d say we sound like a good mix between Television and At the Drive In.”

So then, what’s your name and what do you ‘do’ in the band?

“Jack, I play drums in Let Me Down Jungleman with my best mates, Codes and Slips.”

Bearing the terrible clichéd nature of this question, what do you reckon people will say you sound like?

“People say we sound like bands we’ve never really heard which is cool, but I’d say we sound like a good mix between Television and At the Drive In.”

What do you love about making music?

“Lovemaking to music…”

What do you hate about the music industry?

“There are a million amazing bands out there whose music will never land on the ears of the millions who would love and listen to it.”

If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?

“I reckon Muddy Waters would dig on our stuff, he’d sing our blues and we’d dance with his women.”

If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it be and why?

“I wouldn’t knock anyone off but id definitely have words with young Justin Bieber, sit him in the corner and make him think about what he’s done.”

What can a punter expect from your live show?

“Something pretty special I think; people come expecting a fair dinkum punt, you know, a couple of beers and a slap but soon find themselves somewhere with the jungles at a party somewhere in the jungle telling the trees to chill out and the sky to stop being so purple.”

What’ ve you got to sell CD-wise?

“We Have our Nonchalant EP, which we recorded about a year back, but hot off the print is our single Who Knows is out now through Beard of Bees Records.”

When’s the gig and with who?

“It’s at The Old Bar on Thursday January 27, with our friends On Sierra, Hunter and Have Hold. We’re also playing a big one at The Arthouse on Friday January 28 in support of Yankee folk punkers, Defiance Ohio!”

Anything else to add?

“Gosh! Where are my manners? Thanks and cheers to anyone who comes to our shows and parties with Jungleman.”
