Tell us about your latest single ‘Our World’. It’s a personal reflection on my family’s migration story to Australia. It touches on my thoughts as a person born in South-West Sydney, living among people from all walks of life.

What do you hope listeners will take away from your music? I hope people will be moved by my music. I create music to get people to feel something (hopefully positive). It’s music to make you get up and get down, to move your mind, to get you to think about a different perspective, and to move you emotionally.

Tell us about your creative process? My process is always evolving. Having worked with a bunch of people over the years, I’ve been introduced to or been inspired by different creative processes. When I first started out, I used to stick to what I knew would work for me – now I go with whatever feels right at that point in time.

There have been a lot of highlights this year, what are some of your favourites? Oh that’s definitely having the music video for ‘Raci$t/Our World’ be premiered in New York City. It was a great experience working on that project for YouTube’s Creators For Change initiative, and for it to be selected to be premiered at the Tribeca TV Festival was special.

What is your favourite thing about making music? It allows me to be myself. It gives me space to express myself and share stories with the world. Music is a great tool to bring people together. I love being able to do that through music and having a good time.
