In 2005, Josh Thomas he became the youngest winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Raw Comedy Competition at just 17. His frequent appearances on Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation in 2009 as a regular Generation Y team captain cemented the comedian as an Australian cultural icon. He also appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Masterchef in 2009, but was eliminated in the first round by saxophonist and guitarist of INXS, Kirk Pengilly. He’s known for Please Like Me, the ABC2 show based on his stand-up comedy shows that is written by and stars Josh Thomas himself.

How to be Gay features interviews with David Sedaris, Dan Savage, Tig Notaro, Joel Kim Booster, Tony Kushner, Katja Blichfeld, Cole Escole, Dewayne Perkins and Josh Thomas’ mum.
