On the eve of Morrison’s 70th birthday, Into The Mystic sees Creighton and his established eight-piece band, featuring The Belfast Horns, take the audience on an aural journey through the decades encompassing Van Morrison’s worldwide hits, with a sprinkling of poetic numbers from his critically acclaimed Astral Weeks album, all for one night only.
Known primarily as one of this country’s most formidable bass players that has seen him tour with John Farnham, Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton John, Creighton is also an established singer/songwriter with his debut album Hollywell released in 1994. He grew up at the same time and on the same streets as Van Morrison and he watched him perform live in the early days of Them at the Maritime Club in Belfast.
During the evening, Girl With The Gris Gris’ Head Chef Chris Weysham will also be serving up an authentically Americana three-course meal.
