The all Australian debut compilation from Hopskotch is so damn massive
The all Australian debut compilation from Hopskotch is so damn massive it would be easier to bench press a black hole. Showcasing 18 hooj choons of swaggering and cinematic hiphop, monstrous and menacing dubstep and intricate and intelligent glitch, this is a release that all lovers of low-end filth and smashing bass bombs should get their hands on. From Dysphemic & Miss Eliza’s eastern influenced bass driven ball tearing dubstep, to Circuit Bent’s low slung glitch-funk, to Mr Bills’s panning, insectile, headphone delight, Hopskotch never skips a beat. This is music for the intelligent ruffian; well constructed, squelching, smiling, bass monsters. Hopskotch is so dirty, you’ll switch to porn if your parents walk in. If this is just a taste of what Australian bass producers have to offer, then book me in for the buffet.
