New Orleans funk-soul collective Tank and the Bangas stole our hearts when they unanimously won NPR’S TinyDesk Contest earlier this year with their magical live performance. The band combines hip hop’s poetry with R&B sounds and radiate a ton of energy through their fun, funky tunes. Their single ‘Quick’ is a cheeky, fast-paced clash of spoken word and music. Known as a distinctive group of musical innovators, Tank and the Bangas have performed alongside Norah Jones and Chance the Rapper.
