Hard Quiz overlord Tom Gleeson is bringing a live version of his popular ABC quiz show to Melbourne on tour.
Gleeson’s ABC show is now a fully-fledged live tour, with the Gold Logie award winner bringing his brand of acerbic no-nonsense comedy to the quiz show format with substantial success.
What initially begun as an interview segment in Charlie Pickering’s The Weekly program eventually spun-off into its own program, which has now beat its progenitor in ratings.

Now the Big Brass Mug is swapping the studio for a theatre and adding a third dimension to the show, now entering its sixth season on the ABC.
The show’s promoters promise that audience members will be “pulled on stage for a live roasting from the most brutal quizmaster since the inquisition. When Tom isn’t flaying contestants for his audience’s enjoyment, he is also one of Australia’s funniest and most successful stand-up comedians, who commands a theatre like no-one else.”
“People have been asking me for ages to bring Hard Quiz to their city,” said Tom. “Finally, I can say yes. Join me for Hard Quiz live in your hometown … away from the watchful eye of the ABC lawyers. Things will get loose.”
Starting in Canberra in March 2022, this huge tour will take in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Perth and Brisbane across the year. Venues are TBA.
