Perhaps it’s the burgeoning success the first season of Adam Hills In Gordon St Tonight that prompted it, but Hillsy has announced the end of one of our most-loved ABC staples, Spicks And Specks.
S&S has won an AFI Award for Best Light Entertainment TV Series (’09) and a Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Light Entertainment Program (’11)… oh, and also our hearts? Sorry, that was sappy.
Featuring Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough (and probably responsible for making them both reasonably famous), Spicks And Specks has been running for seven years, had 277 episodes, more than `50 special guests and countless quotable moments.
The second season of Adam Hills In Gordon St Tnoight will happen soon, and Myf and Alan will embark on their own seperate projects in 2012.
