The Espy's iconic Gershwin room will host a number of DJs spinning every track off Brat and some of your favourite dance-pop anthems this October.
It’s an exciting time to be a Charli XCX fan down under. With Laneway Festival teasing her as a potential headliner this week, it seems that Australia’s very own Brat summer may not be too far away.
In the meantime, lime green will take over St Kilda’s Hotel Esplanade for one night only this October, centred around one of 2024’s biggest cultural phenomenons.

Born in Cambridge, Charli XCX rose to prominence in 2012 with I Love It, a synth-laden collaboration with Swedish duo Icona Pop before her 2014 electro-pop hit Boom Clap cemented her position as an industry mainstay.
Yet, while those songs may have introduced Charli to the world, her latest full-length effort Brat is what sent her stratospheric.
Released in June of this year, both the album’s publicity campaign and the songs themselves were met with worldwide hysteria and on October 18 you’ll be able to pretend you’re hearing it for the first time again!
Having previously been the brains behind bringing a number of other pop star-themed parties to Melbourne’s dancefloors, the team over at Superficial have a knack for curating nights you won’t forget and this begs to be no different.
Outside of Brat, everything from Troye Sivan to Kim Petras will get a spin, making this an event not to be missed for all you dance-pop lovers. As Melbourne’s weather begins to tease us with warmer days, what better way to kick off your very own Brat summer with a night full of club classics!
