Your week is about to get even better as Australia’s first local and international Prosecco Festival arriving in Melbourne on Sunday February 25. Prosecco-lovers will rush to Cargo Hall in South Wharf for the two four-hour sessions. Tickets are $50 each and include a genuine crystal Plumm teardrop tasting glass as well as a goodie bag. Due to space and licensing, this is an adults-only event.

The day will give patrons the opportunity to explore a heavenly assortment of the world’s most popular Prosecco as well as the chance to meet the growers, winemakers and importers, not to mention free tastings. Enjoy your wine by the glass whilst learning all thins Prosecco, sample oysters, local cheeses and caviar plus Italian food and music.

The exhibitors with time to talk are Box Grove Vineyard, Festival City Wines, Italian Wine Collection, Politini Wines, Regina Vino, Sam Miranda, SANTA & D’SAS, Symphonia Fine Wines, Vinea Marson, Vino Bambino, Vinomofo and Wines of King Valley.

Prosecco is Australia’s bubbles of choice, so there’s no surprise that there’s a festival dedicated to it. The event wouldn’t be possible without Melissa Brauer, the Prosecco Queen and her desire to give Melbourne an event about her favourite drink. Brauer is dedicated to teaching people about this wine variety.
