Leading the pack is Lizzy Hoo, a multi-talented artist who has made waves in the Australian comedy scene. With sold-out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festivals and a memorable performance at the 2021 Oxfam Gala, Lizzy is undeniably one of Australia’s most exciting comedic voices.

Adding to the laughter are Col & Fil, also known as Woah Alyssa! These two talented comedians, and newly ex-boyfriends, have gained a cult following with their hilarious sketch shows. Offering an unfiltered glimpse into their personal lives as millennial gays, their performances are intercut with outlandish sketches and pop culture parodies.

With nominations for Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe and appearances on popular radio shows, Rowan Thambar, will also take the stage. A critically acclaimed stand-up comedian and comedy writer for Channel Ten’s The Project, he draws upon his heritage as the son of Sri Lankan immigrants, sharing humorous anecdotes about growing up in Australia.

Aurelia St Clair, with her charm and tongue-in-cheek content, is set to captivate the audience. With performances at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne and Sydney Fringe Festivals, Aurelia has received rave reviews and continues to impress with her unique perspective as a biracial, bisexual, and bilingual comedian.

Maddy Weeks, a Melbourne-based writer, comedian, and producer, will also grace the stage at Footscray Laughs. Known for their energetic performances and infectious enthusiasm, Maddy is a force to be reckoned with in the comedy scene. Last but not least, Noah Szto, a rising star and two-time RAW state finalist, will showcase his impeccable manners and comedic talent. With his exciting voice and unique perspective, Noah is not to be missed.

It all goes down on Friday, June 16. Find out more by heading here.
