Five strange facts with Strangers

1. Timmy was hit by a 4wd going 80kms p/h and he landed 20 metres down the road. The accident was such a mess they chalk (spray paint) outlined him and everything. He was back at school within the week, minus a couple of teeth. His mum still has a vial of his blood in the fridge.

2. For our new album Mirrorland, we wrote hundreds of songs. The very first riff we wrote became the main/verse riff for God Is In My Head which evolved over three years. The last song we wrote in the studio was Mirrorland, it was a Frankenstein of all the fun riffs that kept resurfacing while we were tracking.

3. According to the California Avocado Commission, Americans consume up to 81 million pounds of avocados on Cinco de Mayo, which is roughly how much Benny goes through in a year, and the day Mirrorland is released. Coincidence? I think not.

4. We all live together and have two cats, Moosecat and Carrie Fisher. Moosecat lost his tail when he was a kitten so he looks like a wombat. We have no idea how, but he broke his tail right at the base and had to have it removed. They didn’t let us keep it.

5. We have matching tattoos. The four of us, on a big night in Byron Bay, ended up getting the word ‘Party’ with a little red balloon tattooed on our arses, except for Timmy who already had one on the cheek, so he got it inside his lip.
