Fatboy Slim swaps the mainstage for underpasses, heritage bays and riverside forecourts on his 2027 Australian tour
The man who’s DJed on the Great Wall of China, a St Kilda fish and chip shop and closed out Rock in Rio is about to plug his decks in under a West Melbourne freeway – which tells you plenty about how Fatboy Slim is running his March 2027 Australian tour.
Norman Cook is skipping the festival mainstage and the sweaty superclub, hauling the party into smaller, weirder, more personal spaces across four cities where no two nights look or sound the same.
The run takes in Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, each city handed a different setting. Melburnians cop two goes at The Underpass on 12 and 13 March, a West Melbourne spot wedged beneath the elevated freeway where concrete and steel are interior deco.

Sydney gets a residency inside the heritage bays of Carriageworks across 5, 6 and 7 March, Brisbane turns the South Bank Forecourt into a riverside dancefloor for the return of On The Banks on 10 March, and Fremantle opens the whole thing under the stars at Esplanade Park on 3 March.
Expect the Fatboy Slim monsters – Right Here Right Now, Praise You, Weapon of Choice – knocking about with the newer stuff. There’s Satisfaction Skank, a mash-up of his own The Rockafeller Skank and the Rolling Stones’ Satisfaction pulled off with the band’s blessing, plus current single Funk Drunk, cut with Brazilian DJ Carola and Felix Da Housecat.
Three decades deep, it’s the same stew of breakbeats, funk and cheeky chaos that’s soundtracked clubs, beaches, festivals and – on separate occasions – an igloo and a fish and chip shop.
For anyone who’s somehow missed him: Cook helped shove big beat into the mainstream in the ’90s, and the Weapon of Choice clip, with Christopher Walken tap-dancing and levitating through an empty hotel under Spike Jonze’s direction, won a Grammy and parked itself on every best-music-video list going.
The trophy cabinet also holds 10 MTV VMAs and two Brit Awards, and he’s racked up 20 Glastonburys on the trot.
The Australian dates cap a big 2026 that took in the Quasar stage at Coachella, four nights on Brighton Beach and that Rock in Rio closer. Pre-sale registration opens 14 September, with general tickets landing 15 September, both at 9am local time.
