Strap on your dancing shoes, because certified disco legends Boney M. are bringing all their bangers to Melbourne for shows at the Palais Theatre in 2023.
With O.G. member Maizie Williams taking charge, the powerhouse group will be getting crowds up for a boogie in cities around the country. Performing ‘Daddy Cool’, ‘Ma Baker’, ‘Rivers Of Babylon’, ‘Brown Girl In The Ring’, ‘Sunny’, ‘Rasputin’ and more from their extensive repertoire, be transported back into the glittery 70s, when pants were flared, hair was bigger and shirt necklines were lower.

Having sold over 100 million records worldwide, Boney M are one of the most iconic European disco acts of all time. Formed in West Germany by German record producer, Frank Farian, who served as the group’s primary songwriter, they achieved popularity during the disco era of the late 70s.
A Euro-Caribbean vocal group, Boney M’s original line-up consisted of Maizie Williams, Bobby Farrell, Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell. Since the 80s, the band has performed with a variety of different line-ups.
They broke into stardom when Boney M appeared on Der Musikladen – a West German television program focused on showcasing live music acts. Their performance of ‘Daddy Cool’, complete with daring stage costumes, propelled the single to number one in Germany. ‘Daddy Cool’ would go on to reach number one in Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France and Austria. Their second number one hit came with ‘Sunny’, propelling their first two singles into the Top 10 in the United Kingdom and the rest, as they say … is history!
