As with Boge’s other bands, Like Thieves hit hard onstage. The video that accompanies their new single Killing Reason was shot live at Brisbane’s Zoo club. Boge tells Beat, “Killing Reason is a song about understanding why we have to destroy something to help us live and be born again. I think it’s fairly self explanatory in the greater scheme of things but ill let the listeners judge for themselves.” Make of that what you will!
Boge joined Like Thieves by chance. “Oden (Johansson, guitarist) and I have been friends for many years and it came about by the two of us working together on a new project. One night Oden asked me if I would ever consider singing for Like Thieves and I said, Of course, I love the sound and the vibe. Oden went back to the other guys (bassist Clint Gough and drummer Daniel Trickett) and put it to them and they said yes and a band was born.”
Their debut EP The Wolves At Winters Edge debuted at #2 on the iTunes Rock Charts in May. The Melbourne launch show at the Espy was a sell-out.
