As the FIFA Women’s World Cup makes its way over to Australia and New Zealand this month, Fed Square is giving football fans the chance to experience the highs and lows of the world’s most popular sport, all for free!
They’ll be showing the matches live on the big screen and hosting the official fan festival featuring food trucks, bars, entertainment and so much more.

- The event will take place in Fed Square during the FIFA Women’s World Cup from July 20 to August 20
- Across the month, there will be live-streamed matches, food and drink options and entertainment
- Entry is free, but it’s expected to be busy, so get there early to secure your spot!

Only steps away from Melbourne’s Rectangular Stadium where some of the games will be taking place, Fed Square will be the ultimate pre- or post-game party spot.
Otherwise, fans can pull up a lawn chair, find a spot in the crowd and see some of the world’s most elite athletes go head-to-head.
The month-long program is stacked with entertainment goodies, including a performance by Indigenous Australian indie-pop artist Sycco, singer-songwriter Samantha Jade and a ton of other Melbourne musicians and DJs.
Some of the city’s top buskers and soccer tricksters will also take the stage to show off their skills. For the little ones, there will be an interactive football play zone where they can get in on the action.
Keeping in line with the FIFA theme, the carnival will have food offerings from all of the 32 competing nations coming available throughout the tournament. Support your country’s team while snacking on a little taste of home.
The fan festival is expected to get a little wild, so we suggest showing up early to snag a good spot for your match.
