Catch JVG’s musical tribute to motherhood this Mother’s Day

For years, the show has been an integral part of the JVG Radio Method on RRR, bringing together mothers to sing about the joys and struggles of motherhood. It all goes down on May 14, with the show being broadcast on RRR at 2 pm, while the live event will start at 5 pm.

  • It’s being held at The Brunswick Ballroom on May 14 (Mother’s Day)

The lineup for this year’s show includes Sarah Carroll, Kerri Simpson, brand new mum Eliza Wolfgram, Angie Hart, Barb Waters, Celia Church, Alison Ferrier, Tracey Miller, Georgia Fields and The Mothers of Mortlake. The show will also feature a top-notch house band, The Mothers Little Helpers.

“I’ve been presenting a Mother’s Day show on the JVG Radio Method on RRR for years. It’s my favourite show of the year,” states organiser Jon Von Goes. “Back-to-back mothers singing songs about motherhood. The joys, the trials, the ecstasy and the mundanity. We have kids running around the studios. Big kids and little kids. And we have partners, siblings and friends helping out musically and domestically. It’s an afternoon of motherly energy and talent that happens only once a year.”

Presenter of the JVG Radio Method on RRR 102. FM, Jon Von Goes talents extend beyond radio broadcaster, into the realms of musician, MC and marriage celebrant. Regulars on the show include Ian Bland, Kerri Simpson, Charles Jenkins, Davey Lane, Dr Pump, Angie Hart and Emma Heeney, Barb Waters and Craig Pilkington, Dave Evans and Sarah Carroll.
