Back to ’76: This Brunswick Ballroom Sunday session is a love letter to classic Aussie rock

AC/DC
words by Frankie Anderson-Byrne

Melbourne's finest AC/DC tribute act Riff Raff are rolling into Brunswick Ballroom for a Sunday session built for rock fans.

Riff Raff have been shaking foundations since 2023, selling out shows and jumping on nationwide tours with a raw, loud dedication to the Bon Scott era that’s earned them a serious following.

The band brings together some of Melbourne’s best musos; 6v6 frontman Willie J on vocals, Callum Leavey on drums, Seb Robertson on bass, Hot Machine’s Sarsha Marsden on guitar, and Jeff Barrett on lead. Together they’ve built a reputation for capturing the gritty, high-voltage spirit of classic ACCA DACCA in a way that’s hard to fake and even harder to forget.

Joining them for the occasion are special guests No Secrets: The Angels Show, making this a full afternoon of Bon Scott and Doc Neeson nostalgia done right. Doors and kitchen open at 1pm, so you can fuel up before the show kicks off at 2pm, plenty of time to settle in before things get loud.

Rock fans after a proper Sunday session don’t need much convincing; this one’s got the line-up to back it up. Whether you grew up on Bon Scott’s larrikin howl or Doc Neeson’s electrifying stage presence, there’s plenty here to get nostalgic about. Grab a feed from the kitchen, find a good spot, and let Riff Raff do the rest.
