A Perfect Circle and Puscifer have confirmed a long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand, announcing five arena shows this December.
The American rock outfit, formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan, haven’t set foot on Australian soil since 2013. For New Zealand fans, the drought has been even more extreme — A Perfect Circle last played there 22 years ago. The upcoming dates follow a sprawling European tour announced last year, their first headline run since 2018, which takes in both standalone gigs and festival appearances across the continent.
Puscifer, Keenan’s electro-rock project with Mat Mitchell and Carina Round, will join as special guests on all five dates. The group recently put out their latest album Normal Isn’t, which steers away from their trademark surrealism toward more politically charged and introspective territory.

A Perfect Circle have built a formidable reputation in the alternative rock world over the past 25-plus years. Their 2000 debut Mer de Noms held the record for the highest-charting debut rock album at the time, and the band have since released three more studio records, most recently Eat the Elephant in 2018, which topped the Billboard rock albums chart. They’ve headlined festivals worldwide and sold out venues including the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden.
Puscifer, meanwhile, have carved out their own lane as one of rock’s most theatrical and unpredictable live acts. Beyond Mitchell, Round and Keenan, the project has drawn in a rotating cast of collaborators over the years, and their latest record continues to push the group into new sonic and thematic terrain.
