Rising comedy star Aaron Chen has announced his 2025 Australian summer tour Funny Garden, marking his first performances in several regional cities across the country.
Chen, who currently stars in the Netflix series Fisk and appears as assistant to Guy Montgommery on ABC’s Guy Montgommery’s Spelling Bee, will embark on the tour following his successful 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival run, where he claimed the People’s Choice Award for highest ticket sales.
The Sydney-born comedian has established himself as a prominent figure in both Australian and international comedy since his solo debut in 2017. His achievements include the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer award in 2017 and Director’s Choice in 2019, alongside a Best Show nomination in 2021.
Now based in New York City, Chen’s upcoming tour will reach new audiences across Australia, with shows scheduled for:

Chen has become a regular presence on Australian television, appearing on top-rating shows Thank God You’re Here and Have You Been Paying Attention. His stand-up special, If It Weren’t Filmed, Nobody Would Believe, released on YouTube in 2022, has garnered more than 1.3 million views.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday 19 December at 11am local time. My Live Nation members can access the presale beginning Wednesday 18 December at 11am local time until Thursday 19 December at 10am local time.
The tour announcement follows Chen’s breakthrough year in television, which has seen him expand his presence beyond the stand-up circuit to reach mainstream audiences through streaming platforms and broadcast television.
