Anya Alchemy has unveiled Don’t Say You Never Felt It, a soulful new single co-written with producer Alice Ivy.
The track pairs Anya’s warm vocals with polished indie alt-pop, and it fell into place quickly once Alice Ivy’s beat arrived. Ivy, who has worked with Mallrat, Thelma Plum and Ecca Vandal, helped shape Don’t Say You Never Felt It and pushed Anya Alchemy beyond her usual routine of writing with her brother Jay.

Matt Bartlem, whose past work takes in Boo Seeka, Lastlings and Jarryd James, mixed the record. Dale Becker, who has mastered releases for Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter, handled the final master.
On record, the single moves between cathartic and glossy, built around a hook designed to stick and a confident vocal delivery. Alchemy by name, she pulls from indie alt-pop, soul and hip hop, with immersive storytelling threaded through her writing.
Raised in regional Victoria, she shifts from stripped-back ballad to full-throated anthem without much strain, letting her voice do the heavy lifting. Her subject matter stays personal and relatable, which has become a throughline across everything she puts out.
The team sitting behind the single is easily the most established Anya Alchemy has worked with to date, running from the co-writing chair right through to the mastering desk.
She first surfaced in 2019 with her debut Home, featuring Pez, before returning in 2024 with ICK. Since then she’s shared stages with Conrad Sewell, Pierce Brothers, Boo Seeka, The Audreys and Nathan Cavaleri, and played a Melbourne set at Hello Sunshine Festival alongside The Veronicas, Grinspoon and Bliss N Eso.
Don’t Say You Never Felt It landed on 19 August, the first of several singles Anya Alchemy has lined up before the end of 2026 and into 2027.
