A surprisingly decent effort from Noel, free of his ludicrous brother and set to release a solo album in October. Sloping and simple, with a bombastic chorus, The Death of You And Me features a super charming interlude of New Orleans brass, which gives the song a happy, drunken stagger. It picks you up and like a drunken football team and bounces you around on its shoulders.
