The Harlots are launching Lady Maria at The Evelyn on Thursday, a blues rock number that hobbles through some late seventies Rolling Stone references. In a town where blues rock is something of a noble plague, this is strangely uninspired. The arrangement is decent and they play it well, but the whole band needs a shot of adrenalin up the keister somehow. They also need to get their chops up to write a song that ends up being a bit more memorable.
