Garage rockers Lazertits have teamed up with their good pals and jangle pop legends Swim Team for a split record that’ll knock your socks off. The split 7″ is a tribute to the bands’ friendship and will be released on September 29 through Hysterical Records, though they’re giving you a taste of what’s to come with Lazertits’ single, Lil’ Sister.
“Lil’ Sister is such a banger,” says Swim Team guitarist Samantha Wass. “When I listen to it in my headphones as I’m walking down the street, it gives me that empowered feeling like I wanna stick the middle finger up to anyone who gets in my way.”
To celebrate the musical merging of the two bands, and their upcoming release, the two bands are putting on a show at The Old Bar where they’ll be joined by their mates/musical muses Bitch Prefect, Crop Top, Porpoise Spit and The Pink Tiles DJs. You can shimmy down with the bands on Saturday October 7 but until then, check out Lil Sister below.
