Having just wrapped up his first east coast headline tour to sell-out crowds and rapturous applause, Dean Lewis – AKA the man behind the inescapable hit Waves – is set to cross Australia with his debut national tour, covering all cities and major regional areas.
Lewis is currently earning a reputation for one of the sweetest voices in the business, turning heads at festivals both at home and overseas with standout sets at Groovin the Moo and the Great Escape Festival in the UK.
Currently preparing to take his tunes to Toronto, New York and Los Angeles, Lewis has also dropped a new single. Lose My Mind is taken from his debut EP Same Kind of Different, which features production from John Castle (Vance Joy, Paul Kelly).
“Lose My Mind could be my favourite song on the EP,” says Lewis. “It’s about how you feel when you are on the verge of losing someone and you feel like you can’t live without them. It’s like the first night without that person who has been there for you. I remember feeling like the walls were closing in because that person who I could always turn to was gone. That felt like losing my mind.”
Lewis has been moving from strength to strength since he released Waves, climbing to #12 on the ARIA singles chart and being certified Double Platinum in Australia.
