Electronic pioneers Severed Heads are playing in Melbourne this weekend

As part of Supersense: Festival of the Ecstatic, globally lauded act Severed Heads will take to the stage in lieu of Blonde Redhead, who have cancelled their Australian tour.

Severed Heads’ brand of groundbreaking production forged the way for the EMB, house and glitch dance music that followed in their wake – bending technology in a time before samplers and computers to forge a sound all of their own.

With a fully fledged live show built around videos and lights, their set is set to bring together the cinematic and fantastic with a big screen and even bigger sonics.

They’ll be joining a slew of other heavy hitters on the Supersense lineup including Spiritualized, Pussy Riot Theatre, Kimbra, Nazoranai and more.
